Outlook 2011 mac export contacts to csv

This TXT file is then opened with Excel. Finally this CSV file is imported into Gmail.

Unfortunately, when I do this, I end up with the same problem as above As to using a VCF file, I have over 2, contacts. I obviously don't won't to make a VCF file for each contact, and I'm not sure there is a way to make one VCF file containing all those contacts. Thanks for your further thoughts! I got the same result Basically, Outlook CSV file field names aren't directly compatible with GMail's field names and can need some fiddling with to avoid mismapping.

In order to get my own Outlook contacts into GMail, I did this:. Enter a couple of contacts into GMail manually, using all the fields you are likely to want. Copy and paste the GMail column headings to the relevant column headings in the Outlook file. I also re-ordered the columns in the Outlook file to match the order in the GMail file, but that's probably not necessary.

Thanks, I tried this. Initially I didn't reorder the columns in the Outlook file to match the Gmail file, and the import ended up a mess. But then I tried reordering, and the import came through nicely For some reason it stopped after one. Not sure how to get the rest. In that case, if it worked for one contact, then there is no reason why it would not work for the rest. What happened to all the other contacts in your Import file?

If you can't, can you export from Outlook as a tab separated variable file? If you can, then do that, open the file in Excel and then save it out as a CSV file.
